Male Adult Acne

Acne is a skin disorder due to the over secretion of oil glands and blockage of hair follicles due to the action of hormones and other substances. These factors lead to infected openings commonly called pimples. These are most often seen on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Acne is not a serious health problem, but sometimes serious acne conditions can leave permanent scars or markings. The exact reason for acne appearance is yet to be known. Doctors believe that it is due to the hyper secretion of sex hormones. These hormones increase both in boys and girls at the puberty stage and cause the sebaceous glands to swell and make more sebum. These hormonal changes are found during pregnancy also. Acne is also a factor of heredity.
